A series of family picnics to promote the Programme and its projects’ results is underway. This time, on 27th<\/sup> June, we met on the boulevards of Rzesz\u00f3w. The event directly preceded the opening of the “East of Culture” Festival \u2013 European Culture Stadium in Rzesz\u00f3w, of which the Programme was a partner. Residents of the city, along with guests from across the country and abroad, had the opportunity to learn about the Programme\u2019s more than 20-year history, its current activities, and to meet the partners of projects currently being implemented along the Polish-Ukrainian border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the Programme, three projects were showcased at the stands. Firefighters from the State Fire Service, implementing the FABRICS<\/em><\/a> <\/em>and UP2FireSafety<\/em><\/a> projects, presented a fire engine purchased under the first one and spoke about ongoing investments. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the fire truck, try on equipment and uniforms. The youngest participants especially enjoyed trying on firefighter outfits tailored specifically for them. Older visitors were keen to take advantage of free blood pressure checks and receive basic health advice at the medical stand run by representatives of the University Clinical Hospital involved in the SURLAP<\/em><\/a> project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants had the opportunity to test their knowledge about the Programme by taking part in four rounds of our quiz with attractive prizes. Those who completed a short survey about the Programme received vouchers for delicious coffee or ice cream. Visitors to the stand could also pick up publications and small Programme-themed gifts. All of this happened to great music, in the open air of the Wis\u0142ok valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
