On 8th<\/sup> July 2025, an educational picnic was held on the premises of the Independent Public Health Care Centre in \u0141osice as part of the project entitled. \u2018Improving health safety in the \u0141osice district and the Ivano-Frankivsk city\u2019 (acronym: RescueCars<\/em>). The event was aimed at the general public, including residents of the \u0141osice district, tourists, patients and hospital staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the event was to raise participants’ health awareness, promote healthy lifestyles and encourage preventive examinations such as colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Participants at the picnic were able to learn how to call the emergency services correctly and effectively. Quick response in emergency situations is crucial, as it can determine the success of the help given and save lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants were also able to take advantage of free blood pressure and saturation, weight and height measurement tests, as well as obtain information on the PL-UA Programme at a promotional stand organised by project representatives. Consultations with doctors and first aid demonstrations by paramedics were very popular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RescueCars<\/em> project involves cooperation between the Independent Public Health Care Centre in \u0141osice (PL) and the Central City Clinical Hospital of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council (UA) and aims to improve access to medical transport and diagnostics. The project covers the modernisation and expansion of the hospital building in \u0141osice, including an ambulance ramp and an adjacent surgical clinic, ensuring patients receive immediate care upon arrival. Ambulances and diagnostic equipment will also be purchased. The hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk will purchase two ambulances, one of which will be equipped with a mobile X-ray machine for rapid patient diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents will have the opportunity to participate in educational events in the form of picnics, which will familiarise them with the specifics of medical transport and the principles of correct use of emergency medical teams. In addition, a manual will be developed to explain these issues to primary school students in an accessible way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total budget of the project is over 993,000 EUR, of which 894,000 EUR will be financed from the PL-UA Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
