At the beginning, we presented the main assumptions of the HEALTH priority. Participants learned about the key areas of support, the share of funds allocated to equipment, infrastructure and other activities, as well as the regions on both sides of the border where medical projects are being implemented. We also showed what the project partners are working on from rehabilitation and childcare to modern diagnostics and digital technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main part of the meeting consisted of discussions with representatives of four medical projects. The invited guests shared their experiences from implementation, talked about the outcomes of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation, and presented ideas that may inspire other project teams. This allowed participants to see how the Programme\u2019s general assumptions translate into concrete changes in hospitals on both sides of the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A representative of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pl-ua.eu\/en\/projekty-i-historie\/surlap\/\"><em>SURLAP<\/em><\/a><\/strong> project highlighted the importance of sustainability of results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"widget-quote\">\n  <blockquote class=\"widget-quote__blockquote\" style=\"max-width: 600px\">\n    <p>After the project ends, we want the results to remain. We have prepared video materials and document that clearly show what we did and what other specialists can use.<\/p>\n    <footer class=\"widget-quote__blockquote__footer\">\n          <p>Gracjan Kieszkowski \u2013 SURLAP Project Coordinator<\/p>\n    <\/footer>\n  <\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>In the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/pl-ua.eu\/en\/projekty-i-historie\/rehabhelpplua\/\">RehabHelpPL-UA<\/a><\/em><\/strong> project, partners focused on innovations in rehabilitation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"widget-quote\">\n  <blockquote class=\"widget-quote__blockquote\" style=\"max-width: 600px\">\n    <p>For the first time, robotic rehabilitation systems have been introduced in our hospital. These are unique solutions in our region and a breakthrough for both patients and the therapeutic team.<\/p>\n    <footer class=\"widget-quote__blockquote__footer\">\n          <p>Hanna Nesteriak \u2013 RehabHelpPL-UA Project Coordinator<\/p>\n    <\/footer>\n  <\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/pl-ua.eu\/en\/projekty-i-historie\/leanhealthcare\/\">LeanHealthcare<\/a><\/em><\/strong> project demonstrated how much can be achieved through thoughtful work organisation, i.e., applying lean management in the hospital:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"widget-quote\">\n  <blockquote class=\"widget-quote__blockquote\" style=\"max-width: 600px\">\n    <p>When we moved the operating theatre closer to the urology ward, we immediately noticed a difference. The staff spend less time on logistics, patients reach the procedure faster, and safety has improved.<\/p>\n    <footer class=\"widget-quote__blockquote__footer\">\n          <p>Valdemar Baranovskij \u2013 koordynator projektu LeanHealthcare<\/p>\n    <\/footer>\n  <\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, a representative of the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/pl-ua.eu\/en\/projekty-i-historie\/future4kids\/\">Future4Kids<\/a><\/em><\/strong> project emphasised the importance of team engagement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"widget-quote\">\n  <blockquote class=\"widget-quote__blockquote\" style=\"max-width: 600px\">\n    <p>People are our greatest asset. Doctors and nurses willingly participate in training activities within the project, which directly translates into better care for children.<\/p>\n    <footer class=\"widget-quote__blockquote__footer\">\n          <p>Mykhailo Rad &#8211; koordynator projektu Future4Kids<\/p>\n    <\/footer>\n  <\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The guests\u2019 statements showed that Polish-Ukrainian cooperation brings real value to the daily work of hospitals. Partners exchange experiences gained in different circumstances, including crisis situations, which helps them improve procedures more quickly, enhance the quality of treatment, and better prepare teams for unpredictable challenges.
