The Programme actively promotes initiatives and activities aimed at increasing the safety of people, property and the environment in the border area. This is done primarily by supporting institutions and services in their response to climate change and natural disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanks to projects implemented under the ENVIRONMENT priority, specific objective 1.1, beneficiaries can modernise fire brigades, purchase specialist equipment or rescue and fire-fighting vehicles. A total of 17 such projects have received 33.5 MEUR in funding from the PL-UA Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
12 of them plan to purchase fire engines (light, medium and heavy), operational vehicles equipped with modern equipment, e.g. radio communication, or vehicles that support rescue operations, such as water tankers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
