The project \u2018<em>Enhancing transport infrastructure to strengthen Polish-Ukrainian connectivity via road 850 in Lubelskie and H22 in Rivne<\/em>\u2019 is one of the large infrastructure projects (LIP) and is being implemented under the ACCESSIBILITY priority of the Programme. The budget for this project is 8 236 166.24 EUR. This is the third of four strategic road projects that will soon commence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project arose from shared needs and the belief that accessible, modern road infrastructure stimulates cooperation and economic development. This vision is shared by the partners \u2013 the Lubelskie Voivodeship and the Department of Construction and Architecture of the Rivne Regional State Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the Polish side, the project will modernise the regional road No. 850 in Tomasz\u00f3w Lubelski, which is a key connection between national road No. 17 and the border crossing with Ukraine \u2013 Hrebenne\u2013Rava-Ruska. The Ukrainian partner, in turn, will rebuild the strategically important national road H-22 Ustyluh\u2013Lutsk\u2013Rivne in the town of Klevan and the village of Zorya, providing access to the regional multimodal freight terminal. The H-22 road is also part of the EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes initiative, which aims to improve logistics, security, and optimise border capacity, which in practice means improving the flow of goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The measures taken under the <em>Bridge850PL-UA<\/em> project will improve road traffic in both regions and reduce traffic congestion thanks to the rebuilt infrastructure, which will ultimately enable a greater number of passenger and freight vehicles to be served. As a result, journey times will be reduced and safety will be improved.
