Figures are an interesting way to learn about the Programme \u2013 they provide a simple illustration of the scale and scope of the activities undertaken. In the previous episode of the \u2018Programme in Numbers\u2019, we presented a brief summary of the current 2021-2027 edition of the Programme. This time, let\u2019s take a look at the Programme\u2019s achievements since it was launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first edition of the Programme was launched in 2004 and lasted three years. Each subsequent edition has been a full 7-year cycle, in line with the EU\u2019s financial perspectives. The Polish and Ukrainian sides are currently preparing the Programme for the period 2028\u20132034.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The history of the Programme includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
each with its own specific characteristics, implementation rules and a budget that has grown year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the course of 23 years:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
covering key areas such as HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT, TRANSPORT ACCESSIBILITY, HERITAGE, TOURISM, SECURITY, BORDERS, SUPPORT FOR LOCAL INITIATIVES AND HUMAN CAPITAL. The Programme has implemented both non-competitive large infrastructure projects of strategic importance and regular projects selected through calls for proposals, as well as micro-projects that addressed the needs of local communities and supported grassroots initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
