The project aims to create cross-border demonstration eco-zones in communities in Ukraine and Poland as open spaces for environmental education and the promotion of circular economy principles and responsible waste management. As part of the project, plans include the development of an open public eco-space on a cleared coastal area, in a park, or at other locations, which will combine recreational, environmental education, and demonstration functions for practical solutions in the field of sustainable development. The eco-zone will include: • benches and landscaping elements made from recycled materials; • containers for waste sorting; • a reuse point; • information stands; • an eco-trail with QR codes (interesting facts about nature, environmental solutions that improve the environment, and the history of the site); • bike racks; • lighting powered by renewable energy sources; • a rain garden for natural stormwater management. The project also includes joint Ukrainian-Polish environmental events, workshops, educational campaigns, and the exchange of best practices among communities regarding the implementation of circular economy principles and an environmentally responsible lifestyle. The project will contribute to raising environmental awareness among the population, developing cross-border cooperation, and implementing practical solutions in the field of the circular economy.
