Within the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-(Belarus)-Ukraine 2014-2020, many inspiring projects were implemented – one of them was BugUnitesUs, which promoted natural heritage of the Polish-Ukrainian border region.
The project resulted in the development of cross-border kayaking routes connecting Poland and Ukraine. Specially prepared infrastructure: including signage, information points, rest areas, and Kayaking Tourism Centres in Drohiczyn and Sokal, made it possible for nature enthusiasts to explore the wild beauty of the Bug River Valley.
We invite you to watch the short TV material entitled “Podlasie by kayak – thanks to European funds and international cooperation.” The broadcast presents the background of the project, its impact on the development of regional water tourism, and the importance of cross-border cooperation in protecting and promoting natural heritage.
