On September 6th, 2025, during the MAZOpiknik in Łosice, we invited participants to explore a unique zone dedicated to the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 Programme. It was a great opportunity to present the ideas behind cross-border cooperation and to showcase how the Programme’s initiatives contribute to the development of the Mazovia region.
The zone was full of energy thanks to the presence of project partners from the Municipality of Mokobody, the Town of Garwolin, the Town and Municipality of Łosice, and the Water and Sewage Company in Siedlce. Each of their stands featured specific projects, highlighting tangible results, partnerships, and direct benefits for local communities.
The stand of the Regional Contact Point of the PL-UA Programme in Siedlce attracted considerable attention. Visitors had the chance to test their knowledge in a quiz about the European Union and the Poland – Ukraine Programme. The competition was fierce, the atmosphere exciting, and winners received special programme-themed gifts!
Among the attractions was a first aid demonstration delivered with great enthusiasm by the Youth Firefighting Team from Łosice. Meanwhile, the Water and Sewage Company provided refreshment in the form of traditionally served tap water from a vintage-style water dispenser.
It was a day full of positive encounters, inspiration, and a clear demonstration that the PL-UA Programme genuinely supports the development of the Polish-Ukrainian border region.
