On October 10, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the “Rescue Picnic” will take place at the Zakarpattya Regional Center for Children and Youth Creativity (8 Naberezhna Studencka Street, Uzhhorod).
This unique event for children and young people is organised by the Branch Office of the Joint Secretariat from Lviv, together with the RescueFirstAid and UP2FireSafety projects.
During the picnic, participants will gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience on how to act in emergency situations, as well as learn more about the work of rescue services.
The programme includes:
- interactive presentation on how to behave in emergency situations,
- introduction to the main types of hazards (fire, flood, storm, earthquake, explosives),
- quiz: “What to do if…?”,
- practical exercises: calling emergency services, providing first aid, using rescue equipment,
- team game “Rescuers” – extinguishing a simulated fire,
- presentation of the activities of the mountain rescue service,
- learning safety rules for mountain hiking,
- Fortune wheel with gifts and treats for participants.
