We are pleased to announce the signing of a grant contract for the implementation of the project Developing cross-border availability and mobility of road infrastructure of the Podlaskie Voivodship and the Volyn Region (acronym CrossBorderRoads). This is the first strategic large infrastructure project out of four concerning road infrastructure that will be implemented under the ACCESSIBILITY priority of the Programme. Their total budget will amount to 41.85 MEUR in co-financing.
The CrossBorderRoads project is a joint initiative of the Podlaskie Voivodeship and the Volyn Oblast, with a total budget exceeding 11 MEUR. The partners have planned to modernise regional road No. 662, connecting Augustów, Suwałki and Budzisko, and the M-19 road: Domanove – Kovel – Chernivtsi – Terebleche. A total of 9.56 km of roads will be rebuilt. The project also provides for the demolition and construction of a new bridge over the Klonownica River and the modernisation of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.
