The SafeRoad4All project aims to modernise road infrastructure on both sides of the border in order to create safe, modern and functional transport connections. In Poland, a new upgraded section of Provincial Road No. 627 with a length of 5.2 km will be constructed. The road, currently in poor technical condition, will be structurally reinforced and equipped with modern lighting and pedestrian infrastructure, which will significantly improve user comfort and safety. In Ukraine, a comprehensive reconstruction of the bridge in Terebovlia will be carried out, together with access roads, a drainage system, sidewalks and traffic safety improvements. An important component of the project will also be cooperation between partners. Through study visits, they will exchange experience and good practices, which will directly contribute to more effective actions and long-lasting project outcomes.
The implementation of the project will bring tangible benefits to residents, local businesses and users of cross-border routes. Traffic flow and safety will improve, travel times will be reduced, the transport of heavy loads will become possible, and the regions will gain better connections to the TEN-T network and the EU–Ukraine Solidarity Lanes. Investment in modern road infrastructure will strengthen transport accessibility and increase the economic attractiveness of the regions.
