We invite you to meet the winners of the ‘Our Backyard’ competition. As part of the series, we will present the 13 best projects from Poland and Ukraine. Each one includes an original description of the work carried out and photographic or/and film documentation.

🌹‘Our Little Garden’ project

Participants: pupils from V class, age 10
Author’s description of the project:
Near the school, there is a neglected bus stop. Pupils from the 5th class joined the “Our Backyard” competition and, at the same time, the project itself, and decided to transform this area into a friendlier place.
🧑🌾What activities did we carry out within this project?
- We cleaned the bus stop and its surroundings.
- We threw away the rubbish.
- We repaired the shelter.
- We painted the bench.
- We repaired and installed the “Bus Stop” sign.
- We placed a trash bin.
- We landscaped the area around the bus stop.
The work lasted three days and was carried out by 11 students and their supervisors.
