We are happy to announce that the European Commission has already officially confirmed the allocation of additional funding of 48.5 M EUR to the Interreg NEXT Poland–Ukraine Programme. These funds come from the allocation of cancelled European Territorial Cooperation programmes involving Russia and Belarus.
According to the decision of the Programme Monitoring Committee, the additional funds will be used to finance out-of-competition strategic projects in the new ACCESSIBILITY Priority and in the BORDERS Priority.
The new Priority ACCESSIBILITY will focus on improving the road and rail infrastructure of the so-called ‘solidarity lanes’. Work is underway to update the Programme in this regard. The Polish and Ukrainian regional authorities participating in the Programme, as well as the relevant central institutions of both countries, are currently working on preparing project proposals in both priorities.
