Programme Poland – Ukraine with a new budget!

20 / 10 / 2023
Category: Project News

Significant changes are taking place in the PL-UA Programme, which will lead to an increase in the number of projects and more comprehensive support for cross-border cooperation.
They have already been accepted by the Monitoring Committee. Thanks to the increase in the Programme budget by over EUR 48 million, we will be able to implement transport projects under the new priority ACCESSIBILITY. The new projects will be part of the Solidarity Corridors initiative between the EU and Ukraine.

These are not all the changes we have introduced to the Programme. Additionally:

  • we will implement two Small Project Funds managed by the Carpathian Euroregion based in Poland (COOPERATION priority) and the Ternopil Regional Development Agency based in Ukraine (ENVIRONMENT priority, new specific objective regarding promoting the transition to a circular economy);
  • we've shifted 8.5 million euros from the TOURISM priority to the ENVIRONMENT priority, specifically for a specific objective: promoting access to water and sustainable water management;
  • we have further specified the thematic scope of the BORDERS priority. The list of potential actions now includes "the development and modernisation of border crossing infrastructure, especially in the context of EU-Ukraine Solidarity Corridors".

The modified Programme is awaiting approval by the European Commission.

You can find updated information about the Programme on the website under the PROGRAMME section.

In the PROJECTS section, we have also published the current schedule for Calls for Proposals.
