Palliative care in both Poland and Ukraine is underfunded, more than other fields of medicine. Hospitals struggle with problems related to low quality of infrastructure, lack of equipment and skilled medical workers.

Partners of the CareLikeHome project, implemented as part of the Poland – Ukraine Programme, set themselves the goal of ensuring equal access to medical care and supporting the stability of healthcare systems in the field of geriatric, palliative and hospice care. As part of this project, three palliative care wards will be renovated –  in Lviv, Ternopil and Krosno. More information about the project HERE.
