On 13 September 2025, in the gardens of the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Supraśl, participants of OnkoRun 2025 enthusiactically visited the information zone of the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 Programme, organised by the Regional Contact Point in Białystok. Residents and guests could talk about cross-border cooperation and got familiar with the results of the Programme’s implementation in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, as well as see the benefits that the residents gain thanks to the cross-border cooperation.
There was something for everyone in the zone! The Wheel of Fortune attracted many participants, providing plenty of excitement and joy. Visitors could also test their knowledge with a quiz about the European Union and the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 Programme.
The beneficiaries of the Programme were also invited to the information zone – the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Oncology Centre in Białystok with the CADIT project and the Polish Red Cross Independent Municipal Hospital in Białystok with the RehabHelpPL-UA project. Guests had the opportunity to learn about good practices in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients, have their blood pressure and sugar levels measured, check their muscle strength, obtain rehabilitation advice, and learn more about cytological screening and colonoscopy.
During the event, health education was combined with good fun, creating a space for meetings, exchange of experiences, and mutual inspiration. This is an excellent example of how cooperation between Poland and Ukraine truly translates into improving the quality of life of residents of the region and the cross-border area.
