The European Commission invites you to participate in public consultations on a new initiative, the “Pact for the Eastern Border Regions of the EU”.
The aim of the Pact is to increase the resilience of the eastern regions bordering Russia, Belarus and Ukraine in light of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and its consequences on those regions.
The consultation is conducted in the form of a call for evidence, collecting opinions, needs, and ideas from a wide range of stakeholders. Completing the online form is a real opportunity to influence future EU support policies for border regions located within the territory of the European Union.
Who can participate?
- Local, regional and national authorities,
- social partners, enterprises including SMEs and their representing organisations,
- civil society organisations, academia and the general public.
Everyone with relevant experience and knowledge is welcome to contribute, in particular people and actors directly impacted as they live in the eastern border regions of the European Union.
How to take part?
To take part in the consultation, please visit the website and submit your contribution no later than 18 September 2025.
We encourage all interested stakeholders to take this opportunity to share their insights and contribute to shaping the future of EU policy for the Eastern border regions. Your input is essential in ensuring that the Pact reflects the real needs and priorities of the communities most affected.
