CrossEco – launch of the Small Projects Fund under the “ENVIRONMENT” priority

30.04.2026

On 24 April, a conference launching the implementation of the Small Projects Fund “Integrated Solutions for a Shared Environment” (CrossEco) took place in Ternopil. The Fund operates under the “ENVIRONMENT” priority and provides a new tool to support environmental initiatives in the Polish–Ukrainian border area.

The conference was organised by the Ternopil Regional Development Agency, which acts as the Fund Operator. During the event, potential beneficiaries received information on eligibility conditions, selection criteria and key aspects of project application preparation. The conference gathered representatives of national and regional authorities, international partners, civil society organisations and experts from the Programme area..

The main objective of CrossEco is to engage communities in the Programme area in sustainable waste management, raise environmental awareness and promote practical solutions for separate waste collection and reuse of resources. The implementation of small-scale, content-driven cross-border projects will help improve the effectiveness of waste management systems and support the adoption of solutions aligned with EU standards. Joint efforts of partners from Ukraine and Poland will contribute to developing sustainable environmental solutions.

The CrossEco Fund operator under the Programme will soon launch an open call for proposals. The call announcement and all related details will be published on an ongoing basis on the Programme website and Facebook profile, as well as on the website of the Ternopil Regional Development Agency.
