Numbers usually reflect reality in the simplest and most concrete way, which is why we are presenting the series ‘Programme in figures’, still initiated on the PBU 2014-2020 website, to present the Interreg NEXT Programme Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027, its projects, activities and joint cross-border achievements precisely through the prism of numbers.
We invite you to read on!
Health care is one of the pillars of a well-functioning society. In order to perform their function well, hospitals and health facilities need to be modernised and staff further trained. That is why in both the previous and current editions, the Poland – Ukraine Programme, through its HEALTH Priority, supports measures to improve access to healthcare. These measures include the modernisation and expansion of medical facilities, together with their retrofitting and the development of digitalisation. But healthcare is not only about infrastructure and equipment, but above all about people, which is why it is also extremely important to improve the qualifications and efficiency of medical staff on both sides of the Polish-Ukrainian border, and this is also the subject of the supported projects.
- 24 projects are implemented under the Priority (20 regular and 4 large infrastructure projects)
- 3 MEUR is the total amount allocated from the Programme to the partners of these projects
- 37 entities performing medical activities will gain support from the Programme
- 19 entities operating within the State Medical Rescue system will gain support from the Programme
Through the implementation of these projects:
- 240,000 people per year will benefit from improved diagnostic and outpatient care and better prevention
- > 74,000 people per year will benefit from new or improved solutions for digitisation in healthcare (including telemedicine, digital medical records, employee training in this area) 1,655 people will participate in various forms of training aimed at medical institutions
- 26 solutions will be jointly developed by Polish and Ukrainian partners.
