We invite you to meet the winners of the ‘Our Backyard’ competition. As part of the series, we will present the 13 best projects from Poland and Ukraine. Each one includes an original description of the work carried out and photographic or/and film documentation.

🌼Project ‘Colourful Nature Corner’

Participants: pupils from III class, age 9
Author’s description of the project:
As part of the “Our Backyard” competition, pupils from III class of the Janina Porazińska Primary School in Styrzyniec, located in a picturesque park with numerous natural monuments, carried out cleaning and renovation work in the school’s rock garden.
🧑🌾 Jakie prace wykonaliśmy w ramach projektu?
1/ The children enthusiastically cleaned the area, removed litter, and took care of the surroundings’ appearance.
2/ New plants were planted, which already decorate the area and will become even more beautiful when they bloom in spring.
3/ A sign with our slogan was handmade by the students.
4/ As part of the project activities, the students also took care to keep the area around the natural monuments clean in order to preserve their natural beauty. These activities aimed not only to improve the appearance of the space, but also to raise the children’s awareness of environmental protection and the value of the nature around them.
👉 Be sure to take a look at the photos documenting both the implementation process and the visible results of the project! In May, we received photos showing the participants’ joint efforts and the ongoing transformation. The planted tulips are about to bloom any day now.
