Applications are now open for the Cross-Border Ambassadors programme, aimed at people aged 18–30 who live in an EU or EFTA country and are connected to the EU’s border regions.
The programme is coordinated by the European Commission (DG REGIO) in cooperation with the Border Focal Point Network, a European Commission platform supporting stronger cooperation in border regions. It gives participants an opportunity to represent their regions, share their experiences and contribute to the European dialogue on cross-border cooperation.
Selected Ambassadors will work for six months with representatives of the European Commission and other programme participants and will carry out their own activities related to cross-border cooperation. These may include creating a video or podcast, organising a local event, or preparing a short report or set of recommendations.
Up to 10 Ambassadors will be selected. Applicants should speak English, have an interest in cross-border cooperation or be actively involved in their local communities, and be prepared to dedicate approximately two days per month to the programme.
