Accessibility of preventive medical care remains a key challenges for the healthcare systems of partner countries. Aged population of the cross-border area requires particular attention in early tackling the incidence of cancer. For younger people timely identification of spinal diseases remain crucial as a prevention factor. Level of integration, awareness and promotion of necessary preventive measures remains not sufficient. Joint efforts in the field of diagnostics and improvement of health infrastructure would serve as an important contribution to addressing these problems.
To tackle these challenges In frames of the project the Centre for Disease Prevention and Health Promotion in Lublin (PL) and The Centre for Preventive Research and Rehabilitation in Lutsk will be established. These centres will enhance access to a broad range of preventive care in cross-border areas, especially in the Lubelskie Voivodeship and Volyn Oblast. As part of the project, the premises at both sites will be renovated, extended and adapted to meet modern standards . Additionally new equipment will be purchased to provide comprehensive preventive health care services. To further support these efforts action programmes will be developed and implemented to raise awareness among patients in the area. The project is designed to benefit both local residents and medical staff.
The cooperation between partners will allow the efficient use of common resources, exchange of knowledge and experience, and further increase the effectiveness of preventive healthcare activities. As a result, improved and more accessible diagnostic facilities as well as actualization of preventive measures will create better life conditions and help mitigating the effects of unfavourable demographic changes in the common area.
