The area covered by the Programme Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine is significant, resulting in a diverse and rich cultural mosaic. Various influences come together, making it richer, and both intriguing and inspiring. Culinary diversity includes Polish, Ukrainian, and Lithuanian influences, as well as, elements from Tatar and Jewish cuisines. Our relatives, especially our grandmothers, have wonderful recipes in their notebooks, often passed down from generation to generation.
We invite everyone — children, youth, and adults from the Programme area — to participate in the competition ‘From Grandma's Notebook’ by sharing a traditional recipe from your region. As the title suggests, the aim of the competition is to share a recipe for a traditional dish. Participants are encouraged to send in photos, simple illustrations, and videos of the preparation process. We want to capture everything that gives a sense of how the dish looks, tastes, and smells.
We encourage you to have fun with it!
The Competition is addressed to citizens of the Programme area, which is why the competition rules and application forms are prepared in Polish and Ukrainian languages.
