We are proud to announce that our last year's Youth Education Campaign Finale was recognised as the Best Thematic Event of Interreg Day 2024 in the 'Cooperation overcoming borders' category! The several-day event, which took place in the Bieszczady Mountains, was the Finale of the annual campaign, which the Programme has been organising since 2013, still improving its formula. International final meetings were previously held in, i.a.: Grodno, Lviv, Rzeszów, Mazovia and Podlasie.
Each edition leaves behind a wealth of positive emotions, international contacts and mutual inspiration. In 2024, the campaign was held under the slogan "Let's follow the common trail!". After the spring competition tasks, the autumn Final brought together representatives of 16 schools from Poland and Ukraine. During their 4-day stay in the Bieszczady Mountains, the young people took part in, i.a. dance, ecology, cartography and rescue workshops. Importantly, the students worked in mixed Polish-Ukrainian teams. This collaboration not only sharpened their skills but also fostered cooperation and an understanding of their neighbours' language. An important part of their stay was a tour of the Programme's project sites. At the end, all participants in the Finale received prize kits and commemorative diplomas. And all this took place on the occasion of Interreg Cooperation Day celebrated across Europe on 21st September.
We are delighted that our event has been recognised at the European forum, and we encourage you to watch the film coverage of the award-winning edition. At the same time, we would like to remind you that this year's educational campaign, under the slogan 'Culturally about Nature', can still be entered until 30th May, with its Finale taking place in Lublin. More information you can find HERE, you are cordially invited!
